Rafael Garcia Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Third Street [Santa Ana, CA]

Santa Ana, CA (September 03, 2021) – On Thursday morning, 84-year old Rafael Garcia was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Third Street.

Reports said Garcia was dusting off his truck when the suspect vehicle drove toward him.

A neighbor’s security camera caught a black Toyota Corolla, along with the sound of the impact, hit Garcia outside his home. The vehicle immediately took off after the crash.

Unfortunately, he sustained brain injury due to the incident. Apparently, doctors told the relatives there is nothing more they can do.

Moreover, the authorities said there was a second hit-and-run minutes later as the same vehicle struck a pedestrian on Seventh Street. The driver immediately took off again.

The pedestrian suffered moderate injuries.

Officers said the vehicle is a black four-door with oxidized paint on the roof, likely a 2006 to 2010 model.
