Rachel Norton Airlifted in Fatal Collision on West Stuhr Road [Istanislaus County, CA]

Istanislaus County, CA (July 15, 2022) – On Friday morning, Rachel Norton, 22, of Riverbank, sustained injuries in a fatal big rig collision on West Stuhr Road.

The authorities received the crash report at about 10:24 a.m. at the intersection with Eastin Road.

According to the investigators, Rachel Norton was driving a southbound 2015 Toyota on West Stuhr Road. She stopped her car at the intersection. She drove into the path of an eastbound Peterbilt tractor driven by Daniel Forte, 58, of Los Banos.

The authorities say West Stuhr Road does not have a stop sign at the intersection. 

Sadly, the front of the Peterbilt struck the side of the Toyota which was sent off the roadway. The Toyota overturned and rested on its wheels.

Rachel Norton‘s unidentified female passenger succumbed to the injuries incurred in the collision. 

Moreover, the paramedics airlifted Rachel Norton to Doctors Medical Center with major injuries. 

Forte, on the other hand, did not sustain injuries from the collision. 

Investigating officers say all occupants were wearing their seat belts when the collision happened. 

Meanwhile, the authorities are still investigating if drugs and/or alcohol were involved in the fatal big rig collision on Eastin Road.
