Rachel Miller, Aubree Hardy, and Aaron Hardy Identified as Deceased in Semi-Trailer Accident on I-10
Ontario, CA (June 17, 2020) – On Tuesday, Rachel Miller, Aubree Hardy, and Aaron Hardy died in 3-vehicle crash on Interstate 10.
The incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. on June 16, in the eastbound lanes of the 10 freeway.
Moreover, the family, residents of Fontana, travelled in a a 2002 Chrysler Voyager van at the time of the crash.
At some point, traffic slowed to a halt in the No. 3 lane of I-10, west of Haven Avenue.
Even so, a driver in a semi-trailer, a 2011 Volvo tractor, drove directly behind the family’s Chrysler Voyager and did not heed to the stopped traffic.
Thus, the Volvo tractor collided with the rear of the Voyager, which caused a chain reaction.
Subsequently, the Voyager collided into the vehicle in front of it, a 2011 Volvo.
Consequently, the impact of the big rig driving at 60+ miles an hour killed Rachel Miller, 27, Aubree Hardy, 5, and Aaron Hardy, 25.
Ontario Fire Department personnel declared the family dead at the scene.
Shortly after, CHP stated that they will continue to investigate the tragic incident.
We would like to extend our sincere condolences to the loved ones of the Miller and Hardy family. May you find peace, comfort, and strength during this difficult time.
