56-Year-Old Santa Rosa Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash near Marlow Road
SANTA ROSA, CA (October 1, 2018) – A woman was killed Monday evening following a pedestrian crash near Marlow Road. The victim was later identified as 56-year-old Quanah Sapien, a resident of Santa Rosa.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, the incident took place at about 7:00 PM on Piner Road. The victim was on her way home from the Walgreens Shopping Center when she was struck by a white Ford Ranger.
Paramedics arrived and attempted to resuscitate Sapien. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the Ford driver, identified as 35-year-old Keith Roberts, remained on site and cooperated with investigators.
Authorities are investigating whether or not wet weather played a role in the incident. It was also noted that Sapien was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision.
