Pyon Huesok Injures 1 in Alleged DUI Hit-and-Run Crash at Highway 246 and Casino Drive
Santa Ynez, CA (June 12, 2020) On Wednesday, police arrested Pyon Huesok after a hit-and-run crash at Highway 246 and Casino Drive.
Indeed, the incident occurred on June 10 at about 9:30 a.m. near Chumash Casino.
According to the report, at least one person sustained injuries.
Initially, CHP found out that a passing vehicle hit a pedestrian on the road.
Despite this, the driver fled the scene. CHP Officer Keith Rogers said the victim, a Chumash Casino employee, was directing traffic when the incident happened.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was immediately transported to Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital for treatment. Currently, the victim’s identification has not been released yet.
Police Arrest
CHP was able to locate the vehicle involved in the crash. Roger said they found the 2004 Honda Odyssey and its driver near Highway 154 and Armour Ranch Road.
The suspect was identified as Pyon Huesok, 53-years-old, from Paramount. Rogers said Huesok was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and felony hit and run.
At noon, the Chumash Casino reopened. Additional health precautions were implemented after being closed due to COVID-19.
