Procoro Martinez Arrested after DUI Crash on 5 Freeway [Santa Clarita, CA]

1 Hospitalized after Vehicle Drives Off 5 Freeway Interchange to Highway 14

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (April 23, 2019) – Authorities arrested Procoro Martinez Tuesday evening following a DUI crash on 5 Freeway.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident happened at about 6:40 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a silver pickup truck went off the side of the southbound 5 Freeway onto Highway 14.
 
Martinez, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, suffered minor injuries and required hospitalization. He was later charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence and is being held at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. It is unknown whether or not other vehicles were involved in the accident.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the crash. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
