2 Dead in Olympia Car Crash
OLYMPIA, WA (February 17, 2020) – Two people succumbed to death in a wrong-way crash on the 5 Freeway on February 13.
According to reports, the wrong-way driver on the 5 Freeway crashed into a car and a semi truck. WSP Trooper Johnna Batiste revealed that the crash involving the two vehicles and semi-truck occurred at about 12:05 a.m. near U.S. Highway 12.
43-year-old Prani Sisopha drove north on 5 Freeway South and crashed into another car, leading a semi to crash into debris from the other two vehicles. Prani Sisopha and her passenger 34-year-old Travis Schuettke from Tumwater both died at the scene.
The freeway remained blocked until 5:30 a.m.
