Portofino Place 2-Vehicle Collision Kills 2 People [Oxnard, CA]

Oxnard, CA (February 13, 2023) On Sunday morning, a 2-vehicle collision on Portofino Place claimed the life of a man and a woman.

Reports say that the high-speed crash happened at the intersection with 5th Street, at about 12:07 a.m.

Oxnard police say that a 2020 Honda Civic collided with a 2022 Hyundai Sonata. Medical responders say that 2 people on the Honda suffered fatal injuries.

Officials pronounced the male occupant of the Honda dead at the scene, while paramedics transported the female occupant to Ventura County Medical Center.

However, the woman later succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital. Officials have not released their names pending notification of their kin.

Meanwhile, the Hyundai driver did not suffer injuries and stayed at the scene.

Police say that high-speed and reckless driving are factors in the 2-vehicle collision.
