1 Hurt in Valleyford Fatal Accident on Highway 27
VALLEYFORD, WA (June 21, 2020) – Thursday night, a Polly Burland died and Richard Soleta was injured in a car crash on Highway 27.
The incident occurred at around 10:00 p.m. on Highway 27, just south of Gibbs Road.
According to reports, 37-year-old William Ross from Fairfield will face charges of vehicular homicide.
According to reports, he tried to pass a truck on Highway 27. Then, Ross drove across a double yellow line in his Chevy Silverado and struck a Ford Taurus driving in the opposite direction.
66-year-old Polly Burland from Spokane Valley was inside the oncoming vehicle as a passenger. The authorities declared her dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 72-year-old driver, Richard Soleta, went to Sacred Heart Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Just like Polly Burland, Richard Solera is also a resident of Spokane Valley.
Moreover, Ross didn’t suffer any injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, the police believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal crash.
