Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 50 in Pollock Pines

 
POLLOCK PINES, CA (February 17, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car Sunday afternoon in Pollock Pines.
 
The crash happened around 1:48 p.m. on eastbound Highway 50 near Bridal Veil Falls.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Jeep Cherokee struck the pedestrian before crashing into some trees. Four other vehicles pulled over to help the injured victim.
 
Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the crash site and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
A coroner’s personnel was notified to conduct a full report.
 
Further details, including the identity of the victim, were not immediately available. The fatal incident remains under investigation.
