Shane Labrecque Arrested for DUI Accident that left Buckeye Seargent Injured
BUCKEYE, AZ (May 3, 2021) – Saturday night, a Buckeye police sergeant suffered injuries in a DUI crash on 4th Street near Arizona Eastern Avenue.
Reports revealed that an on-duty Buckeye sergeant drove north on 4th Street. Then, another vehicle driven by a Glendale man struck the driver’s side of his car near Arizona Eastern Avenue.
Also, the force of the crash pushed both vehicles into the corner of a builder on the northeast corner of the intersection.
As a result, responders took the sergeant, the suspected impaired driver, and the passenger of the suspect vehicle to the hospital. Then, after receiving treatment, the hospital released the sergeant to recover at home.
Meanwhile, the suspect driver and the passenger stayed at the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Moreover, aside from alleged extreme drunk driving, the suspect, Shane W. Labrecque, had warrants out for his arrest in California and Arizona. Upon release, the police will book the suspect into jail on several charges.
It is important to always drive within the posted speed limit. Moreover, it is advisable to never drive under the influence.
