At Least Two People Hurt after Stolen Vehicle Crash near Riverside Drive

SILVER LAKE, CA (December 14, 2018) – A man and a woman were injured Friday afternoon following a car crash on Fletcher Drive. Their identities were not immediately disclosed to the public.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened near Riverside Drive. A stolen vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and at the wrong side of the road, initiating a police pursuit.

A short time later, their vehicle crashed near a gas station. The man, who suffered unspecified injuries, fled the scene on foot but was later taken into custody. Meanwhile, the woman suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Further updates on their current medical conditions were not provided.
