Police Officer in Seal Beach Injured in DUI Car Crash on Pacific Coast Highway
Seal Beach, CA (October 10, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, a Seal Beach police officer conducting a traffic stop was struck and injured in DUI Crash on Pacific Coast Highway.
The crash happened at 3:15 p.m on October 10.
According to reports, the Seal Beach officer was standing near his parked patrol car when it was suddenly rear-ended by an unrelated Ford F-150 traveling southbound on Pacific Coast Highway.
Moreover, the pickup truck driver lost control, crashed into a nearby wall, and fled the scene on foot.
The Huntington Beach Police Department assisted in locating the suspect in a short distance away on PCH. They took him into custody without further incident. He remained uninjured.
The suspect, identified as a 30-year-old Kenneth Jacob Lopez of Huntington Beach, was then arrested for suspicion of felony hit-and-run and DUI.
