SCOTTSDALE, AZ (December 20, 2019) – A Scottsdale police officer sustained injuries after a truck and motorcycle collision on Loop 101.
 
According to reports, a vehicle rear-ended the officer while on a traffic stop. A green Ford pickup truck driver steered left into the median and hit the patrol motorcycle, trapping the vehicle and the officer on the concrete median wall.
 
Responders took the officer to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, authorities shut down Loop 101 at Chaparral Road during the investigation. Authorities also ruled out impairment as a factor in the collision.
