1 Hurt in Federal Way Car Crash
FEDERAL WAY, WA (February 14, 2020) – A police officer sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on 24th Avenue on February 12.
Officers came to a storage lot in the 33200 block of 24th Avenue South around 10:30 p.m. They had received a report of an RV crashing through the lot’s gate, Cmdr. Kurt Schwan with Federal Way Police revealed. They located the fleeing RV about a half-mile away from the lot, and tried to stop it. However, the RV crashed into one of the patrol cars on 20th Avenue South.
The RV continued, then the driver went out and fled on foot. Officers are still looking for the Hit-and-Run suspect.
Meanwhile, the officer who rode the damaged SUV sustained injuries and received treatment at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way.
