LOS ANGELES, CA (August 12, 2020) – Late Monday afternoon, a police officer sustained injuries in a DUI crash on 93rd Street.
According to police reports, the incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. on West 93rd Street and South Broadway.
The Los Angeles Police Department revealed that a vehicle driver struck an officer who was at the edge of a barricade in the area.
The authorities added that they set up the barricade for a man with a gun who was detained by the SWAT team.
Moreover, the authorities added that the injured officer occupied a police vehicle when the DUI suspect crashed into it.
As a result, responders transported the officer to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
