1 Hurt in Chandler Car Crash
CHANDLER, AZ (November 11, 2019) – A Chandler police officer sustained injuries in a car crash on Alma School Road on November 8.
The Chandler Police Department revealed that the incident occurred near Alma School Road and Warner Road. A Chevrolet vehicle made a left turn in front of a patrol car and caused the officer to swerve out of the way. The Chevrolet then crashed with the patrol vehicle and caused it to crash into a traffic light pole.
The 16-year-veteran officer went to a hospital to receive treatment. He’s already released and is resting at home.
Meanwhile, the 55-year-old driver of the other car didn’t suffer any injury but received a citation for a traffic violation.
Authorities also ruled out speed and impairment as factors in the collision.
