Dallas, TX (June 27, 2024) On Thursday morning, 2 people were killed and another was taken to the hospital after a plane crash Near McKinney National Airport.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the tragic accident happened around 10:22 a.m. south of the McKinney National Airport.

Reports say that a small Cessna model 414A plane crashed into a large mound of gravel.

Officials say that the aircraft left the airport at about 10:22 a.m. and crashed shortly after takeoff.

Authorities say that 2 people were pronounced dead at the scene, while the 3rd person was rushed to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Officials are investigating the fatal plane accident and have not released additional information at this time.
