PLACERVILLE, CA – One Killed after Car Crashes into Water on Highway 49 at Finch Road

Morning Crash on Highway 49 in Placerville Ends in Fatality

 
PLACERVILLE, CA (January 14, 2019) – At least one person was killed after a vehicle crashed into a water Monday morning in Placerville.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:34 a.m. on Highway 49 at Finch Road.
 
According to an initial dispatch, an unknown vehicle was traveling southbound when it went off the roadway and landed into a creek.
 
Law enforcement arrived on the scene and found at least one fatality as a result of the accident. The name, age and town of residence of the victim were not immediately available.
 
Details surrounding the collision were not made clear at this time. The California Highway Patrol is overseeing the investigation.
