PIRU, CA – One Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 126 at Torrey Road

Late Afternoon Collision on Highway 126 in Piru Turns Deadly

 
PIRU, CA (April 25, 2019) – One person was killed following a multi-vehicle crash late Monday afternoon in Piru.
 
The crash was reported at 5:06 p.m. along the eastbound lanes of Highway 126 at Torrey Road.
 
According to reports, at least three vehicles were involved, one of them overturned from the impact and two occupants were trapped inside the car.
 
One was extricated at 5:41 p.m. and the second was pronounced dead around 6 p.m.
 
Furthermore, four other people were hurt from the crash. One of the patients was badly injured and was flown to a hospital in critical condition.
 
The others sustained moderate to serious injuries and were transported via ambulance, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.
 
The eastbound lanes along Highway 126 at Torrey Road were shut down for the on-scene investigation. Heavy traffic was reported in the area, according to CHP.
