Interstate 15 Crash Kills Phillip Rincon
Cajon Pass, CA (July 30, 2021) – On July 25, 40-year-old Phillip Rincon of Rancho Cucamonga died in a rear-end crash on Interstate 15.
The fatal crash took place at about 4:00 am on the northbound lanes of the freeway, south of Oak Hill Road.
The two-vehicle collision was reported on July 25, 2021, at about 4:00 am on the northbound 15, south of Oak Hill Road.
Investigating officers said the accident happened when a BMW driver rear-ended a Toyota sedan.
During that time, the Toyota was at a slow speed and drifted into the reporting party’s vehicle and not able to avoid the crash.
The accident caused major damage to the back of the Toyota. The vehicle rested facing sideways on the freeway.
When the San Bernardino County Fire arrived at the scene, they pronounced Rincon dead.
On the other hand, rescuers took the BMW driver by ground ambulance with unknown injuries to a hospital.
The California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Office continues to investigate the crash.
