Phillip Duane McShan Arrested in Interstate 80 Fatal Accident [Davis, CA]

Davis, CA (April 11, 2023) – On April 9, the authorities arrested Phillip Duane McShan, of Fairfield, following an Interstate 80 fatal accident.

The accident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. east of the Pole Line Road. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Polestar was westbound on the freeway. For reasons unknown, the vehicle struck the pedestrian. 

Unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries. 

The authorities arrested McShan, the Polestar driver.

Investigating officers believe alcohol was a factor in the fatal accident.
