Reuben Powers and Philip Davis Killed in La Mirada Auto Crash on Imperial Highway
LA MIRADA, CA (June 1, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, Reuben Powers and Philip Davis died in a fiery crash on Imperial Highway.
The multi-vehicle crash occurred between their vehicles, a pickup and a sports car.
According to reports, deputies witnessed the vehicles speed up before the crash near Imperial Highway and First Avenue at 5:40 p.m.
Aside from the fatalities, two other people sustained injuries.
Moreover, the authorities forced the pickup’s door open to pull out the driver.
Meanwhile, the other vehicle, reportedly a Dodge Challenger, caught on fire.
According to reports, at least two other vehicles played a part in the crash.
Later, the authorities ID’d the victims, Philip Davis, 64, a Whittier resident, and Reuben Powers, 23, of La Mirada.
