Peter Timoteo Smith Padilla Struck and Killed by Metro Bus in East Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (August 10, 2020) – On Sunday, 26-year-old Peter Timoteo Smith Padilla died in a pedestrian accident on City Terrace Drive and Pomeroy Avenue.
The fatal accident happened at about 12:40 a.m. in the area of East Los Angeles.
CHP officers said they found Padilla lying in the roadway and dead at the scene when they arrived.
Metro spokesman Jose Ubaldo said Bus Line 70 was traveling eastbound on City Terrace Drive, approaching Pomeroy when the victim was struck. He said Metro replaced the bus and there was no interruption to service. Though he had no further details about the accident, which was being investigated by the CHP.
