Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Pedestrian Crash near Artesia Boulevard
LONG BEACH, CA (December 4, 2018) – A man was killed late Tuesday evening following a hit-and-run crash near Artesia Boulevard. The victim was later identified as 54-year-old Pete Liva Save, a resident of Long Beach.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident happened at about 10:30 PM. A pedestrian attempted to cross Long Beach Boulevard when he was hit by a black sedan.
Save suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Meanwhile, the unidentified sedan driver did not stop to render aid and immediately fled the area.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the location of the suspect and the black sedan. Anyone with information about the fatal crash is asked to contact Det. Sirilo Garcia at (562) 570-7355.
