Protest Organizer Struck by Vehicle on Martin Luther King Junior Way
Tacoma, WA (August 18, 2022) – On Sunday, a protest organizer sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on South 19th Street and Martin Luther King Junior Way.
According to the reports, protesters against gentrification in the Hilltop neighborhood were on the streets when a vehicle struck an organizer. Apparently, a person in the vehicle tried to drag the organizer by the arm as the car passed by.
