Person Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 15 [Mission Valley, CA]

1 Injured in Mission Valley Fatal Collision

Mission Valley, CA (August 28, 2029) – On Sunday morning, a person killed and a person was injured in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 15.

The fatal collision took place at about 1:30 a.m. in the area of Friar Road.

CHP officers received the report of a wrong-way driver traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the freeway wherein a Honda Fit, Nissan Altima and an Infiniti SUV were involved.

Firefighters attempted to free the Honda driver using the “Jaws of Life” along with other tools. The operation took 25 minutes but medics later declared the driver dead.

Moreover, a person from another vehicle was rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Officers are investigating the traffic accident.
