Austin, TX (August 12, 2024) – One person was fatally injured in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 35 early Sunday morning.

It was about 2:30 a.m. when the fatal collision happened on the southbound freeway near downtown Austin.

Unfortunately, the responding officers declared the pedestrian deceased at the crash scene.

Troopers closed the southbound lanes while they cleared the area of the collision.

In the meantime, the authorities are still working to determine the cause of the accident.
