1 Dead in National City Crash on Interstate 5 near Mile of Cars Way
NATIONAL CITY, CA (October 31, 2021) – Friday night, a person died in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 5 near Mile of Cars Way.
The incident occurred at around 8:45 p.m. on Interstate 5 near Mile of Cars Way.
When the CHP officers arrived at the scene, they called for the County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Meanwhile, the authorities confirmed that a black Toyota Corolla sustained major impact damage. Also, the impact buckled the car’s hood and broke the passenger side of its windshield.
Also, officers added that another driver may have hit the victim after the initial incident. Then, the second driver reported that she hit something on the freeway. However, she only realized being involved in the deadly incident after finding blood on her car after arriving home.
Moreover, the incident shut down two left lanes on the northbound Interstate 5 at Mile of Cars.
