Person Killed in Watt Avenue Hit-and-Run Crash [North Highlands, CA]

(July 28, 2023) On Wednesday evening, an unidentified pedestrian died in the Watt Avenue hit-and-run crash.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the auto-pedestrian collision happened at the intersection with Orange Grove Avenue.

Reports say that a car hit and seriously injured a pedestrian at the intersection, then fled from the scene without stopping to render aid to the fallen pedestrian.

Medics transported the person to a hospital, however, the person succumbed to their injuries and dies at the hospital.

Authorities are searching for the suspect driver and vehicle, described as a black 2011 Lexus GS350 with the license plate number 9ELX700, the vehicle has damage to the right side, including missing the right side mirror.
