Person Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 12 [Santa Rosa, CA]

Santa Rosa, CA (June 4, 2022) – On Thursday night, at about 11 p.m, a person sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 12.

The authorities responded to the incident on the westbound freeway near the Stony Point Road exit. They say a male driver involved in the collision fled the scene on foot leaving his Nissan Maxima.

Apparently, the Maxima driver sideswiped a Toyota Prius, which drove off the roadway and flipped onto its roof.

Afterward, the Maxima struck the center guardrail and rested in the middle of the right lane. 

A Toyota Camry struck the Maxima and stopped. Then, the Camry was struck by another Camry. Finally, a GMC Acadia drove into some debris.

Right away, the paramedics rushed one person to a hospital with minor injuries.

The CHP is investigating the Santa Rosa multi-vehicle crash.
