Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Several Cars near 22 Freeway

 
SANTA ANA, CA (December 31, 2018) – A person was found dead early Monday morning following a pedestrian crash on 5 Freeway. The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near 22 Freeway, at about 1:00 AM. Due to unknown circumstances, a person was struck by several vehicles in the number 2 lane.
 
The victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
