Deadly 5 Freeway Multi-Vehicle Crash Includes Two Big Rigs
Los Angeles, CA (December 25, 2021) – On Christmas Eve, a person died and others sustained injuries in a 5 Freeway multi-vehicle crash.
It was around 8:07 a.m. when the collision happened near Dodger Stadium and Stadium Way.
Investigators said a southbound 2002 Toyota Matrix lost control and impacted multiple vehicles.
Behind the Toyota was a semi-truck that tried to avoid impacting the car. However, it crashed the Toyota between itself and another big rig.
Unfortunately, the unidentified Toyota driver died at the crash scene.
The emergency responders rushed a 67-year-old woman, a 29-year-old woman, and an 11-year-old girl to the hospital. Officers extricated one of them from their vehicle.
Meanwhile, three other patients declined to be taken to the hospital.
Officers are still investigating if speed and the rain were factors in this collision.
We at Sweet Lawyers extend our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. May the bereaved find peace and strength in this time of grief.
