Bakersfield, CA (July 30, 2021) – On Thursday, a person dies in Niles Street pedestrian accident.

The accident took place just before 9 p.m. near the intersection with Virginia Street.

Furthermore, the CHP said the victim was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by the vehicle.

The pedestrian pronounced him dead at the scene.
