Person Dies in Interstate 680 Hit-and-Run Crash [San Jose, CA]

San Jose, CA (February 13, 2023) – On Sunday night, a person sustained fatal injuries in an Interstate 680 hit-and-run crash.

The traffic accident took place shortly before 11 a.m. south of Hostetter Road.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene and located a sedan in the car-pool lane with an unconscious person inside who later died. The authorities also found a truck on the right-hand shoulder along an embankment.

Reports said a person fled the scene but it’s unknown what vehicle they were in.

In the meantime, the authorities are searching for the person who may have left the collision south of Hostetter Road.
