Person Dies in Fiery Crash on Interstate 680 [Pleasanton, CA]

Pleasanton, CA (August 15, 2022) – On Sunday evening, a fiery crash on Interstate 680 claimed the life of a person.

The deadly incident occurred minutes before 6:30 p.m. near the Bernal Avenue exit.

According to the investigators, a vehicle exited the freeway and then slammed into a tree. The incident ignited vegetation and the flames consumed the vehicle.

The authorities immediately responded to the scene and closed the slow lane as well as the off-ramp.

Unfortunately, officers declared a person dead at the scene. 

In the meantime, officers are investigating the collision near Bernal Avenue.
