HPD Officer Involved in Houston Fatal Crash
Houston, TX (April 5, 2024) – A person was killed following a 610 West Loop pedestrian crash early Thursday morning.
It was about 2:30 a.m. when the fatal collision happened in the area of Katy Freeway.
Investigators said an unidentified HPD supervisor was driving home after working the night shift. The officer was northbound on the 610 West Loop when a pedestrian was running across the freeway. Consequently, the officer struck the pedestrian who died from their injuries.
