PERRIS, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Frontage Road

Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Car near Indian Avenue

 
PERRIS, CA (May 8, 2018) – A fatal pedestrian collision on Frontage Road was reported just south of Indian Avenue, on Tuesday evening.
 
According to the reports, the accident happened at around 8:39 PM. A vehicle, driven by a 26-year-old Moreno Valley resident, was heading northbound on Frontage Road when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing in the northbound lane of the roadway. The unnamed victim suffered from critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
 
The driver remained at the crash site and cooperated with investigators. They were reportedly unharmed and did not show signs of impairment from alcohol and drugs.
 
Affected areas were temporarily shut down as the Perris Traffic Reconstruction Team arrived at the scene to conduct their investigation. The closed road were later reopened at about 12:20 AM.
