Perla Medina of Escondido Dies in Temecula
Temecula, CA (August 01, 2021) – On Saturday, officers found 37-year-old Perla Medina of Escondido, laid on 15 Freeway.
At about 4:30 a.m., authorities received reports of a woman lying in the southbound lanes of the freeway.
When officers arrived and set up flares to protect the victim, they noticed a man jumping up and down frantically near a Ford F-150 that may have had landscaping equipment in the bed.
But by the time officers were able to attempt to contact the man, the man had driven away. Officers described the man as Hispanic, age 35 to 45 and 165 to 170 pounds with a small build. They said he has black hair and wearing a gray T-shirt that read “USMC.”
Meanwhile, the authorities are trying to determine whether the victim was struck by a car or was pushed out of or jumped out of the pickup.
The woman lost her life at the scene.

Traffic Crash Can Lead to Unexpected Death
In a time where an unexpected deadly accident happened to a loved one, we may be left feeling powerless. This is quite common in fatal accidents.
Thus, it is crucial that the loved ones of the deceased become aware that they may file a wrongful death suit.
A wrongful death suit allows families to hold parties liable for the irrevocable damages they have caused. Depending on the scale of events, settlements can be anywhere from several hundred thousand dollars to tens of millions of dollars.
Moreover, according to NHTSA, pedestrian and bicyclist fatalities continue to rise in the United States. As a matter of fact, more pedestrians and cyclists were killed in 2018 than in any year since 1990.
