Perfecto Delgado Garcia Killed in Polk Street Collision [Sylmar, CA]

Sylmar, CA (September 2, 2023) – At about 8:40 p.m. on August 9, 73-year-old Perfecto Delgado Garcia sustained fatal injuries following a Polk Street collision.

The traffic accident happened at the intersection with Norris Avenue wherein the victim was severely injured.

Brenda Izarraras, the victim’s granddaughter said, “He came that night to the store to buy himself something, and a car hit him, and that’s all I know. And he ended up in the hospital and he passed away.”

She said that on the night of the accident, she heard a thump but no screeching of tires. She thought it was two cars colliding, only to discover it was her grandfather who was hit. 

The authorities said the suspect car was dark in color, and that is the only information released as of yet. 

Meanwhile, the family of Perfecto Delgado Garcia is hoping the person responsible for his death will be caught soon.
