People Injured in Highway 99 Three-Vehicle Crash [Merced County, CA]

Seven Hospitalized in Highway 99 Crash

Merced County, CA (October 23, 2021) – On Friday, seven people suffered injuries in Highway 99 three-vehicle crash.

The authorities received the crash report at around 9:20 a.m. near Plainsburg Road in the Planada area.

Investigators said the crash involved a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, a Toyota Camry, and a Honda Accord.

 Reports said that one of the vehicles’ driver lost control and crashed into another one of the vehicles. Then, the third vehicle collided with the other two.

Luckily, no one dies in the accident.  

The emergency team rushed the injured people to the hospital for treatment. 

Moreover, the officers did not provide details on the extent of the victims’ injuries.

Start by inspecting your vehicle’s headlights and turn signals, be sure that both front and rear headlamps are working properly and visible enough a couple of yards away. 

Also, take a reading of your tire pressure and make sure you maintain the recommended maximum. While at it, take a peek under your vehicle and ensure there are no loose objects or leaks.

Most importantly, stay focused while on the road. Remove all distractions that could cause accidents such as mobile phone use, unstrapped toddlers, etc.
