Highway 101 Vehicle Crash Injures Four
Goleta, CA (June 18, 2021) – On Thursday, people were injured in Highway 101 rollover crash.
The accident took place at around 4 p.m. on the southbound side near Dos Pueblos Canyon Road.
The authorities said a 2002 Ford Explorer was southbound at 65 miles per hour when the left rear tire blew out.
Officers said the a 36-year-old male driver applied the brakes but lost control of the vehicle.
As a result, the Ford went into the center divider and it rolled over.
Apparently, the car has six occupants during the accident.
Rescuers rushed four of them to Cottage Hospital with moderate to major injuries. Authorities said one of the injured passengers was sitting in the right rear of the car and was not wearing a seatbelt. That passenger was thrown from the vehicle as it rolled over and the person was temporarily trapped underneath.
The perverse actions of a reckless driver can increase the likelihood of traffic collisions. If you are a driver, please pay close attention to those around you. Do not forget to keep a considerable distance from others just in case harm is near.
