Pedro Roland Lozano Dies in Hit-And-Run Crash on South Swan Road and East 16th Street in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (January 30, 2022) – On Friday, 36-year-old Pedro Roland Lozano died in a hit-and-run crash on South Swan Road and East 16th.

The fatal two-vehicle hit-and-run crash in Phoenix happened just before 10:30 a.m. on January 14.

Authorities located a BMW and a white 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck at the crash scene.

Phoenix Police said both vehicles were speeding southbound on Swan Road when the BMW struck the front driver’s side of the pickup truck while attempting to overtake it in the curb lane.

The occupants of the BMW fled the scene on foot. 

Lozano, the driver of a white 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was taken to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police confirmed Lozano died on January 29. 

Detectives are currently looking for the driver and passenger of the BMW. Anyone with information can call 911 or 88-CRIME.
