Pedro Garcia of Odessa Killed in South County Road 1290 Collision [Odessa, TX]

Odessa, TX (April 26, 2023) – On Monday, Pedro Garcia, a 60-year-old Odessa man sustained fatal injuries following a South County Road 1290 collision.

The fatal incident happened around 7:20 a.m. in the area of Business Interstate 20.

Investigating officers said Garcia was eastbound on BI-20 in the left lane when at the same time, a 2018 Dodge Ram was westbound on the same freeway in the left lane. The Ram then made a U-Turn at the intersection and was hit by Garcia. 

The authorities took the Dodge driver to Midland Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Garcia, unfortunately, died in this collision.

Texas DPS is still investigating the cause of this collision.
