Kansas City, MO (November 4, 2024) – Two pedestrians were injured following a 39th Street accident early Saturday morning.

It was around 2 a.m. when the pedestrian crash happened on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Investigators said two people were crossing 39th Street when a blue Honda Accord was westbound on the same road approaching Pennsylvania Avenue with a green traffic light.

The pedestrians walked directly into the path of the vehicle and were hit. Immediately, they were transported to a hospital. One of them sustained critical injuries and the other is in serious condition..

According to the authorities, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Police said impairment was not a factor in the Kansas City pedestrian crash.
