Pedestrian Trina Amore Struck and Injured by Car on Highway 3 [Hayfork, CA]

Trina Amore Injured in Hayfork Pedestrian Accident

HAYFORK, CA (December 4, 2018) – A female pedestrian sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle on December 2.

According to reports, at around 5:28 p.m., Trina Amore was crossing Highway 3 to Wileys Market in Hayfork, just before Hayfork Christmas Parade started. At the same time, Abdul-Latif from Houston Texas was driving his 2015 Nissan Altima, north on Highway 3 at a speed of 30 miles per hour. While Amore walked across the double yellow lines into the northbound lane, Abdul-Latif saw Amore and tried to stop his car, veering to the left to prevent hitting Amore.

However, Amore was still hit with the right front of Abdul-Latif’s vehicle.

As a result, Amore’s right leg and hip were hit by the car. She was then thrown up onto the vehicle and hit her head onto the right lower corner of the windshield before finally falling on the roadway surface.

After the crash, Abdul-Latif stopped and helped Amore until Fire and Ambulance personnel came. Amore was taken to the Hayfork Airport by TCLS. She was later transferred to Reach 5 helicopter, before being airlifted to Mercy Medical Center.
