Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Donert Street and Hesperia Road [Hesperia, CA]

1 Dead in Hesperia Pedestrian Accident

 
HESPERIA, CA (January 15, 2020) – A pedestrian died after a vehicle struck him on Donert Street and Hesperia Road on January 13.
 
Authorities received a report of the crash at 7:17 pm on Donert Street and Hesperia Road. When the first responders arrived, they located a white Scion with major front end damage and a male pedestrian lying in the northbound lanes.
 
They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Deputy Scott LaFond of the Hesperia station revealed that the vehicle traveled south on Hesperia Road when the collision occurred.
 
The Scion’s female driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Upon finishing the interview, the police let her leave.
 
The incident shut down Hesperia Road between Sequoia and Sycamore Streets for multiple hours during the investigation.
