Fatal Pedestrian Collision Reported near 108th Avenue
KENT, WA (October 5, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by SUV on SE 212th Street, late Saturday night. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
According to Washington State Patrol troopers, the collision took place a little after 10:30 PM, near 108th Avenue.
A police report stated that the pedestrian was walking along the road when he was hit but it was not yet known if the accident took place at a designated crosswalk in the area.
Medics performed CPR on the victim, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene. The area surrounding the fatal collision was closed briefly for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident. No further information has been released to the public as the investigation continues.
