Man Dead in Escondido Pedestrian Accident on Center City Parkway

 
ESCONDIDO, CA (April 29, 2019) – A man died after being hit by a car in a pedestrian accident on Center City Parkway in downtown Escondido on April 27.
 
According to reports, authorities first received reports just after 9:00 p.m. on Center City Parkway and Highway 78. Upon the police and firefighters’ arrival, they located a Honda Civic that reportedly struck a 36-year-old man.
 
Furthermore, the 40-year-old male driver allegedly traveled south and hit the other man just after passing a freeway entrance.
 
Medical personnel attempted to save the pedestrian. However, the authorities pronounced the victim dead on scene due to the impact of the collision.
 
The collision still currently remains under investigation of traffic detectives. More details will eventually be released once available.
