1 Man Pronounced Dead after San Diego Pedestrian Accident on 805 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 30, 2020) – On Wednesday afternoon, a male pedestrian was fatally struck by a car on the 805 Freeway.
According to the police reports, the man was attempting to walk across the southbound lanes of the 805 Freeway. There, a car eventually struck and killed him.
The Caltrans revealed that the authorities received a report of the accident occurring around 2:00 p.m. on the 805 Freeway, just north of the S. 43rd Street exit.
As a result of the crash, authorities closed the two left lanes and the HOV lane for around three hours. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
Meanwhile, a witness revealed that a Dodge Challenger struck the man, who was apparently homeless.
